Read a draft of the emergency executive order for Trump to take control of elections

Lawyers and legal experts explicitly said that such an order is blatantly unconstitutional.

Democracy Docket
A draft executive order to declare a national emergency to allow President Donald Trump to take unprecedented control over voting is being circulated by anti-voting activists who have said they are in coordination with the White House.

Orange Stalin is playing a dangerous game here. The power of the Presidency ultimately rests on that of the federal governments, including Congress, which rests in turn on state governments. There must come a point where they impeach him instead of complying, and messing with voting seems like a bright line.

@strypey @marc_veld 'seem like a bright line'.... I'm losing count of how many of those have been crossed now. Unconstitutional actions have been happening by the day. Starting wars without congress, ignoring all the courts, angling for a third term as president... no-ones stopping anything. Dictators are gonna dictate.

All lines crossed, yes, but I don't think any of these are a bright lines. Not in the same way as openly interfering with the well established principle that states run elections, not the federal government. Orange Stalin interfering with states' rights risks pissing off his own base and driving them to ally with his opponents, in a way none of the things you list did.
