@Sarah111well intermittently. I didn’t when it was very cold but put a handful of kibble out occasionally as things got milder. I was mostly feeding mice/voles with a constant stream in and out, day and night. Luckily I’d put a handful of kibble in the night before last and it was still there. Hog went in and out throughout the night so I think it’s my little regular, Haggis.

It's a complete mystery to me how many hogs may be left around here. Numbers seem to be going down every year, but I shall go and buy some fresh cat/kitten kibble and keep my fingers crossed for some youngsters this year. Hopefully I'll be offered the tennis ball sized one that I took in to the wildlife rescue place last year, back to release. 🤞

@Sarah111well I do so worry for them. Life does seem to be filled with hedgehog hazards. I’ve seen several road casualties even during the winter. I really hope to see more in the garden this year. Fingers crossed you get your tennis ball hog 😊

@helenclayton You can sometimes tell this even if you don´t have a camera. They poop a long string almost like a pencil, first time out.

@helenclayton We have hogs in our garden too, but it was very quiet last year. I’ll make an effort to clean the feeding box out now if they’re waking up again.
