@babe one of the most ignored bridges in the county I'd argue … so graceful when seen from the river and nearly everyone blasts over it with nary a glance
@babe paddle down in early morning if you're ever offered the chance its just mystical, I can always understand how they attribute the Wye Valley with the origin of "tourism" in Victorian times
@craigmorgan Not sure about tourism in the days of old, but made it increasingly unpleasant to live there in recent years. Beautiful as it can be, I couldn't wait to get away
@babe that I could understand, it was only bearable 15-20yrs ago if you used the old local lanes and avoided all the town/hotspots/main roads, same as the Beacons are now blighted, you have to be so far off beaten track to get quiet
@craigmorgan I wouldn't want to be driving a car on the back roads anymore, would be a good way to fuck up your tracking pretty sharpish 😬 A lot of money started getting put into tourism and in the process the things that benefit locals more started to be ignored
@babe big trailie mbike works wonders ;) I think the locals have been on their own now for a lot longer than that in S.Wales particularly … never much direct support whoever has been in power sadly
