As charming as ever, Matt Goodwin of Reform conceded defeat in the Gorton and Denton by election by describing the Green Party victory as "a coalition of Islamists and woke progressives that came together to dominate the constituency”.

Whatever, loser. That quote will be on a t-shirt in Longsight market by teatime.

@ProjectFearlessness The cognitive dissonance is completely baffling. What sort of Islamist votes for a fully trans-inclusive party? It's honestly scary that showing basic compassion and empathy for Palestinians is interpreted as extremism by mainstream political figures

I completely agree, but it doesn't matter now because he lost. In Manchester we've had enough Goodwin in the last few weeks to last a lifetime and we're moving on.
