I have to take a break from here.
People who have not once spared a thought about Iran and Iranians, are lecturing Iranians, condescending to us and acting as if thought their five minutes of thinking and the one or two editorial they have read about CIA and “oh well, just look at these countries [all countries neighboring iran]”, is more thought through and critical than the fucking Iranians that lived their lives thinking, reading, living and balancing the consequences of this. (1/2)

So thank you fediverse for being so condescending to us. Thanks for taking the side of Islamic republic, and becoming oh so critical, and caring of people, the moment the Islamic republic is being targeted, but not the 40000 fucking thousands of civilians that got slaughtered just a month ago.

Thank you for it.

Funny how Iranians screeming what they want does not have the same reach as some one condescending to us telling us “you don’t want that, you silly simple middle easterner”
Thought it would be different here. Not really.

@prma yeah.. I'm following some of the discourse around racism here on fedi and it's generally a disaster.

That worst part is that many act out of good intentions, but then are blind to the structural racism they themselves engage in. And so am I myself sometimes!

Fighting racism always starts at oneself and many skip that step and start with blaming everybody else, but themselves.

@karolherbst Yeah. I get that. I struggle with my mistakes as well. It’s hard to see it when you have not noticed it. I just wished that people would stop doing it when they are called out.
