Why did you choose your Fediverse Instance, does it have a bigger meaning than it was a bigger instance or was it for a certain reason? Did you have to be on your instance you chose?

I needed to make a new account when lemm.ee shut down and feddit.uk was the first one that came to mind. I’m not even from the UK.

Same here. lemm.ee refugee, wanted something similar in regards to federation policy and admin vibe.

In comparison, lemmy.today is a bit slower, but I’ll take slow and extant over extinct any day.
