The speed at which No Kings and 50501 "leaders" and organizers have shown their ass should be a simple, concrete, graspable lesson to liberals and left-liberals that protest policing and reform politics serve only to self-limit any attempt at true change.

These people are just as scared of revolutionary change as the fascists are, and that becomes glaringly obvious in their cooperative response to further fascist crackdowns. They love the performativity of the Big Protest, they love the cathartic release of yelling at the cops, but when it comes to attempting to do any real, material harm to the fascist regime, they are (not-so-)suddenly lovers of the law, eager to point the damning finger at the anarchists and insurrectionists whose fiery energy they were riding in the streets, and whose community organizing they were praising and even often claiming as their own.
