#NewYearsResolutions2026 #DID #IDIDIT

@Tutanota Unfortunately Tuta calendar leaves out some important features that are in google. Still trying to replace that one!
@pa27 Let us know which ones, we're constantly improving!
@Tutanota Unless it's changed, you can't get email notifications of calendar items. Note I don't use a calendar on a phone, laptop only.
@pa27 Correct, because this would leak info the the server. The app can notify you of events - without infringing your privacy.
@Tutanota Yes, but like many people I need email notifiers, not in app stuff on a phone I rarely look at... Is the calendar only stored locally in the app then? That would imply you can't share calendars either?
@pa27 Sharing calendars with other Tuta users works, it's not stored locally, but notifications are handled locally to protect your privacy.
@Tutanota Ok, thanks. Although I fail to see a privacy issue in Tuta Calendar sending a Tuta mail to the same account.
@pa27 If the server is involved, we know about your events taking place (even if we don't see the content, this is hurting your privacy). But maybe we'll make it optional in the future to send email notifications.
@Tutanota Ah, yes, I see the point. But an option for that would be good!
