Starting on Sunday, the Wegner Senate wants to close Görlitzer Park at 10 p.m. for the first time.
This is against the wishes of local residents and the Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg district – allegedly to combat crime and make Görli safer.
Both residents and the district council strongly oppose the closure of the ‘Görli’ and the fence because it is a populist law and order measure that ignores the real problems.
We want sustainable solutions, because a fence and night-time closure do not help against violence, drug use or trafficking, and homelessness.
The millions of euros could be put to much better use!
