@BrentToderian Meanwhile, bring up the same statistic to a US traffic engineer and you will get a reply (especially if said engineer benefits from male privilege and you do not) that "speed limits must be set based on data, not emotions." That literally happened in a discussion about the speed limit through a rural village center with a school and library.
