There was some break in knitting machines’ updates, I’m realizing. The break was nothing I’d complain about – Florence in a very humble (but still!) spring sunshine!

I brought with me a strange collection of souvenir photos. All grouped into categories. 😉 Street art and _weird faces_ aka _baby Jesus turns 40_ are my favourite. 😅 Let me start with the street art.

@anna_widera "baby jesus turns 40" 🤌🤌🤌

@twilliability Another collection I brought from Florence (Uffizi Gallery) is _baby Jesus turns 40_. 😅

It was a crazy run through the Uffizi Gallery since we were given only 2 hours to see the exhibition (more on that later… 🙄). But very quickly I picked my focus of the visit 😉

I mean: did any of these painters ever saw a baby? 😅

@twilliability Why did we get just two hours, you might ask.

The Vasari Corridor is now open for visitors to walk through. The entrance is from the second floor of the Uffizi Gallery.
It’s an elevated enclosed passage from Palazzo Vecchio to Palazzo Pitti. Cosimo I de’ Medici used it to move undisturbed between his residence and government palace.
It’s cool to walk through!

@twilliability Lesson learned: don't get lured into buying combined ticket for Ufizzi Gallery and corridor together. This gives you 2 hours for the Uffizi. Whoever has been in this gallery will tell you it’s insanely short window. 😅 It was a feast and torture at the same time. 😉

As far as I can tell after the visit, it’s possible to buy normal ticket to Uffizi and then get an extension for the corridor. It’s just €2 more. Really, not worth the rush. We just didn’t know it was possible.

@twilliability And lastly my personal favourite from this „collection”: Frisky Jesus 😅🤭
