Does that include autotune? 😁
No it doesn’t include a normal processing plugin which has been used on 90% of your favourite music
I highly doubt those 90% of MY favourite music, but…
If it is a studio recording of music with vocals since 1980-90, I would put money on there being some correction on the vocals. If it is a studio recording of music with vocals since 2000, i would put money on there being some use of autotune or melodyne or a similar pitch correction software/hardware.

My top3 Genres are opera, black metal and new age, so… 😁

Of course there are some level of vocal corrections in many songs. But as long as it’s not plain obvious and improves the song, why not. But making it sound like no human could…that’s so useless IMHO.

But autotune and melodyne can be… Tuned :) much like vfx in movies, it is at its best when you can’t tell it’s there
I wish this fucking Cher Song would have never happend. I hate autotune with a passion, especially when it’s at 100% and sounds like a drunk robot.
Though my downvotes suggest that people like it :)

I wonder if there is a mix up in our minds between the use of auto-tune to ā€œcorrectā€ a voice track and the voluntary use of extreme auto-tune options to create music out of an otherwise bland track (like daft-punk used to do…).

I’m not a musical artist so I don’t know exactly how far auto-tune goes or if you can classify all voice mods as auto-tuning.
