Finding an apartment in Korea which is fine with me having a cat is being insanely difficult and stressful...

Conversation basically goes like this:
- I really like this apartment. Is it ok if I have a cat?
> No, no pets allowed of any kind.
- Why not?
> Because they will damage the property and create a mess.
- What if I agree to pay for any repairs for damage they cause and have it professionally cleaned?
> Still no.
- Why not?
> Because they will damage the property and create a mess.

Repeat forever.

Also, if you think a cat that basically does nothing but sleep all day will damage an apartment I have news for you about what humans will do to it.

Insane development: my (Korean) coworker pulled magic today and found an incredibly compassionate real estate agent who agreed to help us out, showed us the best apartment we've seen so far at a significantly lower price than the places we've been looking at and got us a pet allowance.

We should be signing the contract in 2 days (tomorrow is an observed holiday) and then we're finally set. This has been *crazy* stressful and I'm so glad it seems finally over 😓

@bryce congrats on this ideal resolution
