Beautiful picture, really. I always feel pity for these poor guys, kind of badly designed, aren’t they? Having to dive for their diet of fish - but not in a waterproof diving suit but with feathers that get wet and need drying every time! In summer that’s okay, but if it’s winter and you’re hungry? Too bad…

@nellie_m I was watching the grroming session for a few minutes -- this is just the silliest pose it struck during that time! And yes, being a perpetually hungry seabird who has to pause frequently and stand there with your wings dripping does seem like a hard deal in life...
