I'm at the point where maybe crowdfunding a payload of ball-bearings in an opposite orbit would get it over with quicker. Worse in the short-term but we'd emerge from the chaos earlier.
That, and crowdfund an open-source ASM-135. Anyone have an F-15 lying around it could launch from?
I actually had a short story idea 20 years or so back, _Killing Leo_, which would have been an antiterrorist agency figuring what the titular plot referred to. And it would turn out -- too late of course -- that LEO was Low Earth Orbit.
