Sean Harding@mwichary Did they ever? I was in charge of the Amazon iPad apps (non-Kindle) for a while, and we were terrified of this, but I'm not sure if it was actually backed up by action. My hunch is that they never enforced it well, and companies finally realized that and started exploiting it...
@sharding Yeah, not sure about enforcement but I believe this was explicitly prohibited.
@sharding Apple’s enforcement always felt a bit spotty for big companies. But I feel it probably happened for small ones.
@mwichary They definitely enforced not selling Kindle books without giving them a cut 😅
