While their reliability is good, they don’t last forever, and can be a pain to replace in most devices if they do fail. However, a new part from JAE Electronics could change that."

The best thing about USB-C is that it goes in either way. Whereas the micro USB had a top and a bottom which means that you needed to try to connect it an average of 2.4 times to get it right
