On a moral / ethic / legal basis, Public Servants absolutely work for the people
but they also work to be able to put food on the table, and pay the rent.
Not to mention the usual joys of working in a white, cisgendered male dominated system, while remaining WITHIN said system. A case study from the Australian branch π

My lawyer friend asked me if there are any good whistleblower protections when working in government
and my answer was, quite frankly: "define good".
But don't just take my word for it; do a google search for Derek Elias, and his experience as Home Affairs Assistant Secretary, with regards to offshore contracting.
