We need to all use f-droid instead!
F-droid doesn’t exist on Apple and its days are numbered on stock Android too.
I have an iPhone for work (not mine, the employer paid for it and I just use it during work time). It’s gonna be a lot of fun to see how they try (and fail) to force me to verify my age.
And this will save kids from politicians and rich pricks how?
I don’t think that’s the point of the laws.
Well, see, it’s actually to appease incompetent and stupid people who very vocally want the government to do a majority of the parenting their children.

I read somewhere that Zuck hates this. Given that, it’s probably better than the alternative: having to hand over your personal information to each website or app that claims to have a need for age verification.

Due to worldwide legislative trends, waiting for it all to pass and not implementing any kind of age verification is not really feasible. Hope is not a strategy, but of course this tech also isn’t a substitute for advocacy.

I placed this in [email protected], but do appreciate the repost from there.
