Accidental Tech Podcast: 680: A Lot of Holes in That Cheese

Three nerds discussing tech, Apple, programming, and loosely related matters.

@marcoarment I actually find most car-shaped cars to be more comfy from a seating perspective. SUVs have that captains chair thing going on where I find I have more of a knee bend in a typical seating position.
That said, while I’m partial to German cars, I find the Japanese tend to have an even lower seating position.

@rconti @marcoarment @atpfm With BEV's it is a challenge to make car-shaped cars due to the battery raising the floor. It is possible though, the VW ID.7 for example is pretty good I think. As for BMW, it seems like everyone that's spent some time with the new iX3 are quite impressed, so I expect the upcoming i3 to be great. BMW’s new 2027 EVs leak online before the site is taken down

BMW accidentally listed its 2027 lineup online, confirming several new electric vehicles, including the first Neue Klasse EV, the iX3....

@jramskov @rconti @marcoarment @atpfm it’s just a same that both the interior and exterior of the coming BMW EVs are absolutely horrendous.

@jeremyh @rconti @marcoarment @atpfm The exterior looks ok I think. I’m more critical of the interior.

Edit: Furthermore, it's got great range, fast charging speeds, drives well, quality seems good. I haven't seen many negatives so far, though perhaps a few more buttons would've been nice.
