@Crissy

For years, I could not donate blood:

"For decades, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration banned blood donations from folks who had spent time in certain European countries during the 1980s and ‘90s, to prevent transmission of a deadly brain infection commonly known as “mad cow disease.” "

"Last year (2022), the FDA lifted the final section of its “mad cow” ban after finding there had been no reported cases of the brain disease associated with time spent in the United Kingdom, France and Ireland."

Donor gives after deferral lifted

@KrajciTom thankful u are donating and unrestricted from doing so!

In th questionnaire they ask before donating here, they seem to be screening out those who were in Mexico, or have ancestry from south or Central America for a specific time period likely for the same reason u were prevented from donation (illness but they don’t disclose which).

I was surprised to encounter some screening questions about Finasteride as i only know that as hair growth medication 💊

There's still the issue of Rh negative. To this day, no one knows why this blood type exists. ET sends its regards... oops, is that me? 😀

@pinkmoon actually been thinking about that since yesterday... I would love for ETs to send regards!

I think RH- might have been advantageous before but not anymore, meaning in the past, it could have given protection from specific parasites or diseases (no longer in existence now).
