language is funny; we appear to need it and there seems to be no escape

i can't fault people for identifying as abolitionist, autonomist, or anti-authoritarian rather than anarchist

but it's remarkable that these days "abolitionists" can receive $100k grants while "anarchists" are on trial for literature

especially when one of the most celebrated US abolitionists was hung for insurrection in 1859

what's in a name, really?
