Koa Koolani From the Purity of Lotus

On February 25th 2026, Gentle went into labour and several puppies were born. There were 4 boys and two girls. Unfortunately, the second girl, which would have been my gall, she didn't make it. They tried to "get her started", but she was too weak and she became a little star. 🌠 The next day, the breeder informed me about the passing of the little girl, and I cried my eyes out. I had never even met her, but I felt the loss so deeply, as she'd been loved from the moment I learned that Gentle was pregnant. I didn't know how many pups there were, I didn't know if there would be galls in there, but still... I already loved that gall for all that she could ever be. But, it wasn't meant to be. 😭 But, after about 3 very sad hours, I learned that the people who had opted for a boy, should there not be a girl for them, they decided that they really wanted a girl, not a boy. So, a boy became available. I had given it some thought already, as if course I'd been focused on welcoming a new gall into my life. I weighed the pros and cons for adding a boy to my home, instead of a girl. But, I followed my heart. And, that boy becoming available to me, it felt like a sign that it was meant to be... So, I had to start thinking of suitable names for a little dude, who'd hopefully become a big dude, as time passes by... […]
