Tropical high noon thoughts:

Singapore lies virtually at the equator, at ~1°N latitude, so I’m guessing you don’t have to tilt solar panels there; they can just point straight up and will still be optimized for harvesting sunlight across the year.

Unfortunately, I don’t think there are a lot of people who own spare rooftops there.

@faticake ooh, I didn't think about that. So I looked it up and apparently there's a recommendation that panels should have a minimum tilt to let rainwater wash off the panels in addition to maximizing power gen. Which means that, unless you motorize the panels (a significant cost in an otherwise static system), in places like the Philippines (at 7–15°N), panels can be tilted for optimal power output while simultaneously allowing rainwater to flow.
