Everyone in Iron County is getting out their pitchforks and torches about a new data center AND POWER PLANT going out on the west side of the county. I would guess that despite being relatively far from the valley and separated by Eightmile Hills/Three Peaks, it'll be loud. #utpol

@elforesto Also extremely bright. The lights of the Meta data center in Eagle Mountain are polluting what were once the great stargazing areas in the Rush Valley.

@timesandseasons That would threaten the dark skies designation of Cedar Breaks, and it would be a disaster for our tourism.

@elforesto Yep, calculating the viewshed from the proposed data center location, and folks at Cedar Breaks will be able to see the lights with no obstructions @sltrib
