I love and always have loved programming, but as I approach my 25th year doing it, it had begun to feel very tedious. I am not sure if it's the languages, tooling, environment, or just that I've been at it for so long…

But I really have loved integrating Claude into my workflow because it's helped bring a bit of that spark back, surprisingly. It takes a lot of the tedium out of coding but still leaves a lot of room for me to focus on things that matter, the fun.

Random thought I had this AM.

@nemesisprime Unfortunately it's kind of the opposite for me. Programming used to be equally fun and challenging. With AI, the challenging part is mostly gone. Fixing a bug after banging your head against it for hours or finishing a complex feature just doesn't give that same dopamine hit anymore. AI tools are a huge time saver for sure. But it just doesn't feel....fun.
