The codeswitching (language and body language) based on status / environment / character is nuanced and reflects a broad range of the Malaysian Chinese city life experience that I have been a part of.

I also love that most of it is filmed in food places, and now I am terribly homesick.

@skinnylatte this is really cool, just missing hearing hokkien uncles and aunties being extremely loud basically everywhere you go. (i don't think they included any hokkien speaking in it at all? which is a strange choice)

@atsuzaki yeah, the getai uncle giving her the mic would usually be a Hokkien bro but I think that’s because she speaks Cantonese and Mandarin is just easier
