Working on a new version of #LT6502, currently has the imaginative title of "LT6502b", this is much thinner... currently it is 16mm thick, which is just under half the thickness of the first version base.
It probably wont have an expansion slot as there is not much space inside.
I've looked at a lot of laptops and have learned from my first version.
I'm also going with single 18650s on the rear in some kind of curved extension to the base (TBD).
@PaulaMaddox Your tenacious pursuit of a 6502-based laptop is starting to seem quite insightful given the way prices for high-end memory and storage have been going.
@emeb I like making things small :)
@emeb oh, I do have a DCJ11 as well, and I am considering giving that the same “laptop” treatment, I mean who would want a PDP11 in laptop form?

@PaulaMaddox It looks beautiful!

I think that recess where the keys are located will cause you a lot of trouble, though. In what orientation are you going to print this part?

@yrabbit I agree I think it will be a challenge.
I’m not sure which orientation, I guess I’ll try key side up and key side down and see which comes out best :)
@PaulaMaddox Neither of these options is ideal. However, if your printer can print with multiple plastics, there is a trick based on the fact that PLA and PETG do not stick together :)
