Epic result in the Dalman Saxlil by-election, hopefully it's the kick up the arse the Labour party needs to abandon authoritarianism, austerity and "being Reform shandy" plus the chance to get shot of the second most tediously grey PM in living history.

Nigel Farage huffing on about "cheating" - is that Cambridge Analytica cheating? Is it "receiving questionably opaque donations you don't have to declare because your party is actually a limited company" cheating?

Odd how, in such a significant result, this is the first time I've seen the BBC News report on "Family Voting" as if the result is less than an honest win. Still, we don't know who these "cheaters" voted for...

But well done, Greens. You only missed out on a council seat to Reform by 35 votes here the other week (and this place is racism central).

Gutted that Sir Oink A Lot didn't get more votes.

Also, seeing talk that "family voting and sectarianism" is just dog whistling about Muslim voters.

So these independent vote observers were from "Democracy Volunteers" who - according to a Reddit poster (yeah, I know) - are part funded by the Joseph Rowntree Reform Trust Ltd who themselves have very strong ties to Labour.

Hardly independent & as Manchester Council have said, they should have flagged Family Voting up when it happened (and not after the result), as it's an offence & police would have been involved Manc Council disputes their claims anyway.

@Bez_Lightyear @sarahdalgulls Par for the course these days. Seems nobody can believe that they are so out of touch and ineffective that they don’t automatically get every vote.
