I'm not often hopeful, but The Netherlands now has a (junior) minister for digital affairs & sovereignty, and her office has joined the Fediverse, from the official Dutch government Mastodon server:

@bert_hubert It appears they have not enabled toot quoting by default (My instance shows `Post pending` approval). I wonder if they have an official server/account, they might consider enabling quoting by default?
