@cybette yeah i know you use fedora on your thinkpads so figured ud like this news. Speaking of thinkpads what series of thinkpad do you recommend im thinking of getting one?

@jameshjacks0njr I've had great experience with the #X1carbon series (used the 3rd and 7th gen for 4 years each and currently on the 11th gen). Each of them would probably last longer if not for company policy to replace them. They are portable, powerful enough for most general use, and very durable (I'm super clumsy 😳). It's a great balance between the more performant T/P series and the more economical E/L series.

@cybette thanks and yeah im what you call a general computer user i do all the simple usual suspects send and receive email go on mastodon surf the web watch YouTube chat on matrix IRC and xmpp all stuff that wont really tax a machine.
