2/4 the bedroom has now been stripped out except a bit of floor that still needs lifted. The timber has been tested. The guy said on a scale of wet ➡️ wringing ➡️ pure soaking it was ‘pure soaking’. 🥲 And he’s from #Glasgow so knows a thing or two about damp buildings.

3/4 it is oddly lovely to see how it was constructed and the care the original builders put into shaping the beams. However it is also very very draughty, we are not going to have problems with exchange of air. #Repair #OldHouse

4/4 it’s also very dusty and the furniture is huddling in the corner feeling a bit neglected. Next stop dehumidifiers. They think for a few weeks…
