And this is one of the things, I hate most about the #AI evangelists: They say "it's fine", but immediately followed by the condescending expectation, that, in the end, EVERYONE will use it without exception.

This might sound benevolent at first if not paying too much attention but, this is not "To each their own". This has written "take your time, but make sure to arrive at MY opinion because I know better than you." all over it.

Also, "resisting" implies that there allegedly are no two opinions on this, but rather that AI skeptics are just "slow in the uptake".

It would not be that much a problem if there could be just people using it and other people not using it and that being the end of the story. But of course, people are having to impose THEIR opinions on others as if they were universal truths

I wonder what it will take to address the gap between what is opinion, and what is knowledge.

Musing on the idea that because journalists and public opinion is not always able to discern this difference AI evangelists are being given a global pulpit to make their opinion fact through uncritical adoption and funding.
