it costs thousands and thousands of dollars to leave the country. meanwhile, many Americans couldn’t afford a 400$ surprise bill. I don’t blame people for leaving but the costs are usually upwards of 25k/person.

You were speaking more broadly that any country is an option and under that premise, you’re right, it doesn’t cost 30k.

For all the bad shit going down, many people’s day to day isn’t impacted enough that moving to a country with a lower quality of life is the go to option. They aren’t uncomfortable enough for that to be an option.
