I see that your campaign has raised $270 in the past 3 weeks.

If you think that it’s not enough, I’m really sorry. Remember that it’s just a couple of dozens of donors on this platform using their own money to support more than 150 campaigns. And gaza-verified is managed only by 3 volunteers outside of Gaza.

If instead you haven’t received those funds, then you should probably sort it out with your campaign manager.

But blaming those who are trying to help you here (and that are already stretched helping so many families) will only end up alienating people.

If this is the case, then I'm truly sorry. 😔 Living under genocide is unimaginably harsh and you don't deserve this. You deserve better. But we are just volunteers here, not an official humanitarian aid organization. 🙁 We do what we can, but we cannot counteract a genocidal regime financially backed by millionaires and billionaires out of our personal pockets. 😔

@davidculley, I understand you’re trying to set expectations about what volunteers can do, but the way this is phrased comes across as patronizing someone who is hungry and asking for help using Google translate.

If there’s a concrete next step you *can* offer (boosting, sharing the fundraiser link, tips on improving reach), please share that. If not, I think a simple “I’m sorry, I can’t” is kinder than framing it as disappointment in Mastodon.
