With 1Password’s price increase, I’ll likely start looking for another solution. It’d be one thing if it would reliably fill out password fields, but half the time it doesn’t even work. The price increase just gave me the extra push I needed to find something else.

@mikepj We're in the same boat. Our renewal was up in less than 30 days and I don't think I can confidently get migrated and tested in that amount of time, unfortunately.

We'd set the kids up with Bitwarden and it's... okay.

@thaddeus I thought about self-hosting Bitwarden, but the security implications of opening a public port for that scare me. I’ll have to research their hosted offering though.

@mikepj yeah, that's on my list. I'd probably use an overlay network like Tailscale... definitely wouldn't want an open port.

@thaddeus @mikepj let me know what you end up doing. i’ve been killing off our lightly used services.

just a few things and already my monthly savings are just ridiculous. i’m more tired than ever of software as a service.
