Does anyone know of web app I can use with a fediverse account that only enables composing and posting, *not* reading or scrolling (except for maybe my own posts).

Rationale: I've lost count of the times I've opened my app to post something, got distracted by something scrolling by, and then spent precious minutes retracing my steps to figure out what I was going to post about. For example, I opened my app to post about the music I'm listening to, then got distracted.

Micro app 10: MastoThreads

For years, I have been posting long-running threads on social media for the movies that I watch each year. I start a thread on January 1st with my first movie, and I keep it going through the end of the year. The process for this is pretty manual. After I've

From the looks of this, the microapps here are those that were vibe-coded with Claude within an hour or two. Seems like anyone with a Claude or ChatGPT subscription would be able to replicate their own personal version. I don't know, it will be interesting to see how many more niche apps like this begin to crowd app stores. Simply because it takes no more than a basic idea to develop a working prototype.

This is one of a number of reasons I tried to start a discussion about the potential impacts of generative models on F-Droid;

F-Droid policy on libre "AI"

I’ve noticed at least one app installed via F-Droid thay asked me to opt-in to on-device “AI”. Which made me curious about whether the F-Droid team has formulated a policy on this. Are apps with on-device “AI” built from source by F-Droid volunteers, or are they Reproducible Builds? If it’s the latter, what’s the standard for reproducibility here? I imagine the bar would be higher than in the watered down "Open Source AI Definition” that Mufelli pushed through the OSI. Which suggests a need fo...

Along a similar vein, I'd love to see a filter option in F-Droid that filters out apps that contain LLM-written code.

Agreed. There was some discussion in the forum thread I linked of an anti-feature flag for apps containing vibe coding. But the thread keeps getting derailed by a troll, and the mods are taking no action, so the discussion isn't making much progress. Please chime in!

Hmm. I've posted a new topic asking about this;

https://forum.f-droid.org/t/signsups-for-this-forum-appear-to-be-disabled/34154

Hopefully it's just a bug with this forum instance bit of bad UX (unusual for @Discourse though).

Signsups for this forum appear to be disabled

Signsups for this forum appear to be disabled. My attention was drawn to this by reply in the fediverse. I logged out and had a look and I can’t find any way to sign up either. Are we both missing something or have signups been suspended, and if it’s the latter, why?

I just replied there (https://forum.f-droid.org/t/where-is-the-sign-up-button/34076/7)

Please let me know when you wish to signup/register. Too much spam, so we keep turning it off every now and then.
@fdroidorg @fbinin

Where is the sign up button?

Too much spam. The moment we turn on, spammers are joining and creating several spam posts. Let me know when you are online, and I will turn it on temporary and let the person join. I have also replied to the fedi just now.
