Anyone else desperately clinging to the corpse of Arc Browser finding that your close buttons just don't show up on tabs 70% of the time?

Is this finally the moment I'm forced to let go? 🥺

@charliemchapman Have you tried Zen? (https://zen-browser.app) I haven't used it, but I've heard it's Arc-like. A Firefox fork instead of Chromium-based.
Zen Browser

Beautifully designed, privacy-focused, and packed with features.

@evanfreeze Yep, every few months I update it and try again. I think it's the closest since it actually supports switching between profiles within the same window (which is now a requirement for me, haha)

Only problem is it's Gecko based which is unfortunately annoying with web apps these days. And it's soo unpolished compared to Arc. Though I could probably live with that.

@charliemchapman Ah yeah, I was just reading their FAQ and agreed, seems fairly early still. Fingers crossed something else comes along, or maybe Atlassian lets the browser co. folks work on Arc again or something. I don't have high hopes for that 😅
@charliemchapman yeah we've all moved on mate :D

@nileane I want to! I've tried so many times but I always come crawling back.

I'm hoping all the clones (Zen, Click, etc) polish up – or Chrome/Safari add the ability to switch between profiles in the same window – by the time I'm forced to switch (which maybe sooner rather than later)

@charliemchapman there is also Nook, have not tested it so not sure about the profile-switch capability but might be worth looking into: https://browsewithnook.com/
Nook Browser

Fast, focused, and open — a modern WebKit browser for Mac.

@philipp ooh I haven't heard of this one yet

@charliemchapman yep 😭

What’s keeping me is Air Traffic Control in Arc. If they just added that to Dia along with single window profile switching I could finally jump off Arc.

@charliemchapman I am still on Arc and not sure what browser I would switch to ☹️
@nemecek_f it's depressing because it's sooooo good
