UI animations have been literally eroding my essence since detoggling "Show Animations in Windows" was changed to no longer ... disable animations in Windows.

the best way I can describe it - there's this freakin hymn:

π˜–π˜― 𝘊𝘩𝘳π˜ͺ𝘴𝘡, 𝘡𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘰𝘭π˜ͺπ˜₯ π˜™π˜°π˜€π˜¬ 𝘐 𝘴𝘡𝘒𝘯π˜₯,
𝘈𝘭𝘭 𝘰𝘡𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘨𝘳𝘰𝘢𝘯π˜₯ π˜ͺ𝘴 𝘴π˜ͺ𝘯𝘬π˜ͺ𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘒𝘯π˜₯,
𝘈𝘭𝘭 𝘰𝘡𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘨𝘳𝘰𝘢𝘯π˜₯ π˜ͺ𝘴 𝘴π˜ͺ𝘯𝘬π˜ͺ𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘒𝘯π˜₯.

... to which this goobly boggley bs' encroachment attaches drastically more meaning than it ever head the thousands of times I recited it in church. https://mastodon.social/@DavidBlue/115236514189758158

for the whole history of my computing life, animated UI interaction has done nothing but catalyze an acute and anxiety-compounding sense of instability for me. sounds overblown, right? until perhaps you consider that - in 2025 - it pervades throughout 100% of any potential environment I might end up investing my entire professional self within.
god bless @gnome for this.
