Ron Merkle agreed with the author's speculation that the real reason of the ban was because they angered powerful people in the forum as they had uncovered one of them as being the perpetrator of a doxxing campaign.

@double_virgule @jjanhone @Kristian_Kiehling @neilk @skua @troed Apparently one or more people in the forum heckled Ron after the latter posted the findings about the doxxer on the forum, and despite Ron having politely asked the hecklers to ignore them and move on instead, their thread on the forum was locked and their account was eventually banned. Sounds like a classic heckler's veto.

Ron Merkle had broadcasted their intentions on their Justapedia user page and X that they're gonna help Congress to investigate Wikipedia one day by donating relevant digital materials to them.
