Well, okay, let’s be real. Do you want to see every news story go like “And we have a witness here who saw the thing that happened. Sir, can you describe what happened?” and he inserts a rant against capitalism?

At the same time, I applaud this guy. He even contributed to the fluff piece about snow, but also got some zingers in there. Nicely done.

I think like many things in life: A judicious sprinkling of this behaviour is great, and this got people talking, and I love it. Too much and it bogs down and gets unweildy.

This was awesome. I think it helps the conversation in a small way, and that’s awesome. Dont’ need too much of it, though. Definitely need action to work against our oligarchs, though. But this was good and helps a little :)

Yes. I want that. I want constant rants against capitalism.
Fuck. I want the local news to dedicate one segment a week to letting people come on and read their manifestos live on air. The crazier the better!

We [used to] have that: it’s called “public access TV” and hardly anybody watches it.

My city defunded it – redirecting the cable TV subscriber fee that paid for it into a slush fund – and it failed to become the major scandal it should’ve been because hardly anybody noticed.

That’s not what I’ve said at all, though.
