This is the eleventh cm0002 account that I am blocking. This is at least the fourth time this has been posted to the threadiverse, and yet, cm0002 thought we needed to see this again. Some of their reposts have been posted over seven times before they got around to adding to the spam.

They have dozens of accounts that they rotate between so that you cannot block their spam. They do not care about your own availability to clean your feed up, you must see their posts (for whatever reason).

Also, cm0002 downvotes anyone that complains about their behavior, usually with no comment or response. They do not care.

Why am I cross-posting .ml content?

I cross-post from .ml to the nearest relevant non-.ml comm to reduce the influence of .ml comms and indirectly, the instance as a whole, to help vitilize non-.ml comms and make it an easier decision for other instance admins to defederate because one key reason I identified that admins don’t want to defederate is because .ml still has some very large comms and some active niche comms.

And so so much documentation on clear heavy handed censorship and bias also on the link. So much I can’t even put them all here because this comment would be really long.

I believe the behavior of its admins (the main admins are Lemmy devs) does harm to the overall growth of the Lemmy-verse and maybe even the Thrediverse (since Lemmy kinda kicked off the Thrediverse) because of its association with the devs of Lemmy and their insistence to use .ml as their personal political platform to spread harmful propaganda

On the outside, bringing up Lemmy frequently leads to comments like “Lemmy? Isn’t that the place with a bunch of tankies?” Or “Tried Lemmy, but found it full of pro Russia crap so I left”. The best way forward from that I see is to either widely defederate from .ml like the rest of the Triad, or pressure them to put a fair and unbiased as possible admin team.

And for anyone asking “Why are we boycotting/blocking lemmy.ml [http://lemmy.ml]?” Here’s a quick recap: Lemmy.ml [http://Lemmy.ml] is an instance run by admins who are hardcore tankies and will enforce their ideology on their instance through various means from allowing (and pushing it themselves) propaganda (Such as Russia being justified in some way to invade Ukraine) and known propaganda outlets (Like RT) to removing content on their instance critical of their favored authoritarian regimes such as Russia or China and even banning users for such speech or speech critical of them if it’s off their instance (Just like the Reddit mods of ol!). If it was just some random instance it would have been defederated from long ago like the rest of the “Tankie Triad” (Hexbear and Lemmygrad), but they’ve positioned lemmy.ml [http://lemmy.ml] as the “flagship” instance and abused that position and influence to become large enough to keep other instances from defederating from them. Which I believe is harmful to the Lemmy-verse’s overall growth and outside reputation. I have seen it come up before on Reddit threads (and other testimonials from people who came back and tried it again) that “They tried Lemmy but it was a bunch of tankies and went back to Reddit” I don’t know about you, but I’d prefer Lemmy to not end up with the reputation for being "Tankie Central " or even worse “Voat 2.0”. I learned from 02 that .ml and lemmy developers are shitbag authoritarians who cheer russia and nk! now seein bunches of straight rt propaganda let stay on .ml news subreddits cinched it and im about to block the whole instance my self so im glad there cross posting good posts out of there. ive also seen you twice now claim this user downvotes without a word but twice now ive seen them reply to you

Well, as I said in another comment below, I didn’t start with just blocking them. They don’t just do it to me, they do it to anyone who disagrees with their behavior. I’ve seen them be snarky to others, I’ve seen them just downvote and not say anything. They do both.

My problem isn’t reposts from ML, that’s their go-to response but they repost everything from everywhere. My problem is their dozens of accounts. Why can’t they just use one account so other users like me can just block them? Their evading people’s blocks under the guise of “promoting instances”, even though I guarantee the vast majority of users don’t even know the post is from cm0002, let alone pay enough attention to read what instance the cm0002 account is on.

You can find their list of accounts by searching. They didn’t need to provide it, and last time they did something like that, they ended up using more accounts than they claimed.

If you are blocking them how do you know you are being downloaded without a response? Maybe you can’t see the response because you’ve blocked them.

Put it this way, this is the first time I’ve seen them post anything but I’ve seen a lot of .ml people being enormous jerks so the balance of probability is that you’re on a loser with this one.

Since it’s not clear in my original comment (that’s on me), I didn’t just start by blocking them immediately, and it’s not something that they have done to just me either. I’ve seen them be snarky to other people complaining, I’ve seen them ignore people complaining and just downvoting them instead. They do both.

I honestly don’t care about reposts from ML. I don’t go there, and I have many of their communities blocked anyway. They don’t just repost from ML, even though that’s their classic, go to response. They repost everything from everywhere.

If it was just the reposts, I’d just block them and move on. But they make it so I quite literally can’t just move on. I’ve blocked 11 of their accounts. That’s the problem I have.
