Like many people on IT/Infosec I am neurodivergent and have developed a method of note taking during my analysis and investigations that involves essentially a mind map, color codes and tags. It works and I'm good at what I do.
When asked recently if that made it hard to draft my analysis or summarize things in a report the obvious answer to me is "no" because this method helps me fully understand what went on and I can then write out a report or summary. Its also structured in a way where I can easily find any piece of information I need in a timely manner. The idea that I need an AI tool to write things for me from my own notes because these things are "hard to understand" is bizarre. If that is the case for some people then they need training or a different job.
I'm all for automation, scripting, etc but because those things are repeatable AND reproducible. If the output is unexpected then crack it open and optimize. With "AI" what am I supposed to do, keep running it until it does something that makes sense or shrug and wait for the next model to release?
Sorry for this wall of text but I feel like I'm somehow the crazy one because I'm suggesting we tap the brakes as we go downhill and not trust the FSD Tesla we're in to recognize there's a school bus.
