Fuck all the way off with this bullshit. There are *lots* of questions, and this is in no way a settled question *at all* and you are showing your entire arse when you write absolute piffle like this.
@daedalus I've taken the time to explore the capabilities of LLMs and have built a few chatbots, just to understand the furore over this technology.
It's so fucking easy to fool LLMs with bad questions or get horribly incorrect replies a significant % of the time.
We are NO WAY ready for prime time with this stuff, and those of us with deep IT experience know it. Unfortunately, our leadership is not listening to those of us in the trenches with multiple battle scars. /1
@daedalus The reason companies like Oracle, MS, AMZN, Google, META invested in all this must have been driven by "shareholder value" - IOW, a need to pump up stock prices for their owners, who then can justify to their bankers why they need to borrow even more money against that capital to further their lifestyles.
That's it. Plain and simple. They had so much cash they didn't know what to do with it, and now they are royally fucked by bad decisions.
