I just got the Mandalay in Elite Dangerous and hoping to outfit it as my new exploration vessel, after almost ten years of using the same Asp Explorer, I think it's finally time to retire it in favour of an extra 5-10 light-years of jump range.

But I have no idea what to name it.
So I turn to you, Fediverse, as this surely won't go wrong. Any suggestions?

@ridge name it after „forgotten“ female astronomers or those that did something groundbreaking but never got the credit. I named mine Heorges Lemaitre and my FC Vera Rubin

@f0rd42 That's such a fantastic idea, I think I'm gonna name it after Andrea Ghez.

I've been to the centre of the galaxy once before, but I've wanted to go back again since it's been a few years, and the Colonia Bridge didn't exist hten. I could take it to Sag A* and name it after her when I come back.
