For those who have played Alan wake II, would you say I’d need to play the first to “get it”? The game looks beautiful and I’m curious about it on that alone. I did play control but eventually dropped it.

You can go in blind but I’d recommend to at least check out a summary of the first one.

I’d suggest the first one heavily, but if you wanted to go in blind you won’t be lost in my opinion, the game even has a really good recap of sorts
