The punchline is the implied hypocrisy of Europe means they are laughing at themselves. Europe is the joke.

Comparison to the Nazis does not diminish their crimes; exactly the opposite, in fact. Why bother learning about the Nazis if we refuse to internalize the lessons of their atrocities and prevent them from happening again?
No I don’t think calling racists Nazis is diminishing the crime of the Nazis. It’s pretty standard everyday speech and reflects what the Nazis were - racist.
