Ukraine’s fight is our fight.

Tonight, the colours of Ukraine on our headquarters stand as a reminder of the courage and resilience of its people, and the enduring pain of a war that continues, after four years.

Not just as a symbol of solidarity, but as a tribute to those who have lost their lives, and a call to redouble our efforts towards a just and lasting peace.

Europe's shared values, strength, and commitment will never waver.

We #StandWithUkraine

@EUCommission No. It’s not our fight. It’s none of our business. Ukraine is not even in the EU.

Put sanctions on Russia or hold peace talks. Putin said several times he wants peace but Ukraine doesn’t.

But don’t be spending our tax money on weapons for Ukraine. Don’t send our troops there. Let them sort it out themselves.

@dfgomes @EUCommission Who's "we" and when did I vote for you to do any Putin appeasing in "our" name?

@Veza85UE Every European has a vote and a voice. This is my vote and choice. The “we” is the many millions who agree with me.

No sane person wants war. Only fools. Starting a war with Putin over some tiny area of land mostly inhabited by Russians anyway is NOT wise.

Just use sanctions or other similar tools to the situation. War and supporting war should not come into consideration at all.

@dfgomes Putin started the war in 2014. That tiny area is 20% of Ukraine's territory as recognised in international law, by Russia itself. It's just that Russia doesn't give a shit about international law and has never respected any agreements it signed. Its citizens are Ukrainians regardless of what language they speak and are currently living under occupation, complete with torture dungeons and sexual violence. Support that if that's the kind of guy you are, but don't insult our intelligence.

@Veza85UE Torture dungeons and sexual violence- are you crazy? What rubbish.

Ukraine was killing the Russians living in that area. Putin stepped in to protect them.

@dfgomes Tankies are never beating the allegations...
