#GoodMorrows on Wednesday, 25 February, 2026. Wexsi has had her Wexgard, I mean Nexgard Spectra, so she's protected from parasites, ticks and fleas for the next month. Happiness abound. My laptop in the room that runs #WindowPerspective seems to have encountered some hard drive issues in the night. RAM and CPU useage seems to be at the normal percentages, while the hard drive shows as running at 100%, which is impossible. Only TeamTalk/WindowPerspective runs off that computer, no other software. How it can push from running at 15 to 20 percent for the last 4 years since I put up that microphone at my rooms window, to suddenly running at 100% useage since last night is unknown. I'll reset the pc to see if that might help. Sometimes when hard drive useage skyrockets, then an infection is present, so will reset first to see if a little nibbler hasn't gotten hold of, and is biting my old Lenovo IdeaPad. But if after reset, the hard drive still is slow, then I may have to take it in for repairs. Still, we'll reset first to check for, and eliminate any nibblers. Hopefully that fixes the problem, else money will be needed to fix it. So far the day is good though, even though the lenovo in the room has a problem...Still it's not a work-related problem and it hopefully can be fixed by either reset or hard drive replacement. It's current drive is an ssd so if it is failing, no way to hear squek like if it was a mechanical/hybrid hard drive. Have a wonderful Wednesday!
A folllow-up on the lenovo in the room. Microsoft has decided with the last Windows11 update, for which I restarted on Monday, that Co-Pilot365 and GoogleDrive for desktop should be re-enabled in startup. That pc only have a 1.5GHZ processor, and is only dual-core, so if those services are activated, things slow down to a crawl, and the hard drive runs its head off to keep up with what Copilot365 and google-drive wants to achieve. I have no idea why Windows update reactivated google drive for desktop in the startup thing anyway as GDrive has nothing to do with microsoft itself. I would understand if OneDrive was reactivated, but not GoogleDrive. So, after I disabled the squekifications in shell:startup, I started Teamtalk and now #WindowPerspective is back in place. Next time if such squek happens again, I'll check if MS didn't decide that it's cleverer than myself and re-enabled things that actually cannot run on that ppc at the same time. GDrive can run on its own, but I don't ever run it for long, I just update files in my JVSGames folder, and then I quit it again. GDrive+Copilot365 is a nightmare. Not enough processing power to run both at the same time, but I'm glad it's fixed now.
