I feel like all Discord has learned from the backlash is that they need to be more subtle about how and to whom they're selling your data in the future.

Especially after the IPO, they're not going to decide to stop profiting off your personal data out of the goodness of their hearts.

I respect everyone who is still pushing on them and fighting, I do think it is important to continue to loudly voice these concerns and not let companies get away with choices like this. But in the end, I think finding alternatives and diversifying how we communicate is the only real path forward.
